About The Artists:
SID LEROCK aka PAN/TONE aka Mr. Sheldon Thompson!!!
For those of you who might not know the inimitable Mr. Thompson, he was one of the first-wave of Canadian producers to head toward the big lights of the European dance music scene, settling in Koln, Germany in 2003. As Sid LeRock, Thompson has gained fame and notoriety for his energetic, filthy electro-inspired live performances. His superior track-craftsmanship has earned him not only critical acclaim for his numerous projects including Sid LeRock, Pan/tone and Gringo Grinder but also numerous remixes for artists such as Depeche Mode, and friends such as Toronto expat Fairmont aka Jake Fairley with whom he founded Beachcoma Records in 2009. Thompson had previously founded Kompakt label imprint Cereal/Killers to showcase his collaborations with artists such as Reinhard Voigt, DJ Koze and Gabriel Ananda.
This rare hometown performance is not to be missed.
MATT
THIBIDEAU
After having his brother Mark grace
the stage for a stunning performance at the last breakandenter, we
thought it was only fair to introduce you to his hard working sibiling.
Matt Thibideau has long represented Toronto on the international stage
either along side his brother as a member of Repair or on his own as
Altitude or his alter-ego Coordinates.
Matt was one of the first artists to
release on Mike Shannon’s critically acclaimed Cynosure Records and
later on Falko Brocksieper’s SubStatic Records. Matt has the distinction
of performing not once but twice at Montreal’s beloved Mutek festival
and recently at Cynosure’s 10th anniversary night at Watergate.
